Kyle Loveless is part of a third generation family business that has been a Oklahoma institution since they opened in 1947. Having that intimate knowledge of dealing with bureaucratic red tape and the fundamental problem that government at all levels spends too much money. He firmly believes that a basic truth that government would be better off if it ran things like it was a business and it is OUR money that is being spent. Duplication of agencies, and waste is abundant throughout Oklahoma’s government, needs to not only addressed, but from the top to the bottom real priorities need to be established.

Oklahoma needs to establish an atmosphere where the businesses that are already here can grow, and also where businesses from other areas want to move here because it is a better place to do business. All businesses, large and small want a stable, durable infrastructure, an ample educated work force, and a transparent and low tax structure. There should be no franchise tax, and estate taxes need to be eliminated immediately. Our workers compensation system needs to be fair to the employers and the employees, but should not be adversarial and should not be a system of jackpot justice. Lawsuit reform has been addresses in previous legislatures but there will always be issues that come up, and Kyle Loveless will take his conservative pro business approach to the issues.

Oklahoma is blessed in that, regardless of political party or persuasion, firmly believe in the 2nd Amendment and Kyle is a long time member of the NRA and Safari Club International. Kyle enjoys hunting both in Oklahoma, he has hunted quail, pheasant, deer, and wild hog.

The Constitution is pretty clear and the recent Supreme Court decision reaffirming over 200 years of precedence that individuals have the right to bare arms.

Oklahoma has an obscene number of school districts, and with that high number of district, come administrators (whose salary average is OVER $100,000), vice administrators (whose average salary is over 90,000) and so much duplication and overhead, education is the number one item in Oklahoma’s budget, but the money does not get to the classroom. Kyle has a plan to modernize and streamline the overhead and provide parents the choice and freedom to take their children out of bad performing schools if they want. Private schools and home schooling are a long proud tradition of Oklahoma, and Kyle having both been educated in both private and public schools, understands and knows the unique challenges that come with both. As we make our education system better, we will help bring a more educated work force to help our economic situation as well.

Oklahoma has long had a tradition of taking taxes meant and designated for roads, highways, and bridges and we diverted them to other areas of the budget. Taking money from a designated purpose breaks the trust of those that send leaders to the Capitol and is just plain wrong. All forms of transportation need additional resources to catch up on the backlog of deficient bridges, roads, and highways. When the GOP took over both the House and Senate, progress has been made in this area, but the citizens of SD 45 know that South Oklahoma City and Mustang have some serious issues that need to be addressed immediately.

Having worked on the federal transportation bill, Kyle Loveless has the knowledge and background to look past the red tape and jurisdictional tug of war to get something done. SD 45 has I-35, two stretches of I-40 and many state highways that criss cross the district, and having to deal with the feds, state, three counties and multiple cities, Kyle has the unique ability to work with all the different levels of government and will see the projects from start to finish and ahead of schedule.
